Sourcing: During the local wheat harvest, our community joins us to celebrate. We use the whole wheat to bake healthy, high-nutrition products with whole wheat flour, supporting local farmers by creating a market for their crops. This creates a cycle that benefits both consumers and the local agricultural community.
Our primary materials are sourced locally whenever possible, with any remaining needs met by qualified foreign suppliers. This ensures top quality ingredients in all our products.

Production:
Resource Efficiency: We prioritize optimizing resource utilization and constantly seek improvement opportunities to achieve our goals.
Energy Conservation: Committed to minimizing energy consumption and reducing air pollution, we've transitioned 80% of our energy usage to liquefied gas (LNG).
Renewable Energy: Partnering with the Jordan Chamber of Industry, we aim to utilize solar energy to meet 50% of our energy needs by 2026
Equipment Upgrades: We invest in energy-efficient equipment and appliances to decrease energy consumption across our facilities.
Waste Heat Recovery: Economizer system within heating water system utilizes waste heat from ovens to improve water temperature efficiency.
Other Sustainable Practices at Qabalan: -We implement various practices to minimize our environmental footprint, including upgrading lighting systems. -Leverage PIR motion sensors combined with LED lighting technology. -Extensive integration of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in most cold rooms, showroom refrigerators, and some air conditioning units. -Replacing fixed-speed elevator motors with VFD-powered alternatives.
Recycling:
1.Waste reduction:
We separate organic waste for composting into fertilizer.
We reuse or recycle other waste materials.
2.Food Waste management:
We donate excess food products for animal feed, preventing unsafe disposal and promoting resource utilization.
Sustainable Packaging:
We use three easily recyclable materials: tinplate, carton, and food-grade plastic.
We minimize export packaging with tight-fitting designs to reduce waste (without overpacking).
100% recyclable tin and PET are used for export packaging, promoting easy sorting.
